Chrysocephalum 'Flambe'

Chrysocephalum? I bet you looked at that name and said the same thing I did the first time I saw it – “I’ve never heard of this plant before.” The hard-to-pronounce name is Latin for “golden-headed,” in reference to the flowers. I wasn’t terribly impressed with the plant at first glance. And as usual, I was skeptical of its claims, but it was native to southern Australia, which definitely is hot and dry.
